I work to empower the individual to cope well with mental health symptoms, and personal life challenges by using their minds, bodies and spirituality to promote overall wellness. Focus is on each person's strengths to find solutions through creative expression, evidence based practices and spirituality/faith. Including family members and/or significant relationships is encouraged. I strive to help the person move forward in life and not dwell on a diagnosis or past life choices.
I have worked with children and adolescents and their families since 2003, and began working with young, middle age and elderly adults in 2013. I earned a master's in social work from Loyola University Chicago and worked as a school social worker, and outpatient therapist in community agencies in Northern Illinois.
